A letter to the Editor

I just am so irritated with Obama supporters. In every aspect, Obama is bad news. You don't have to agree with me and I'm not trying to offend anyone, but anyone who supports this man should be ashamed of themselves...as an American or as a Christian..this is my opinion and you don't have to agree, which is what is great about this country. But I seriously feel this way..I don't love any of you less if you do support him, but I am gravely dissappointed, honestly. The man is so marxist at his core, from his near 'father son relationship' with communist Frank Marshal Davis, to his 20 year relationship with marxist/black liberation theologist Jeremiah Wright whom he said was like family to him, to relationship with Bill Ayers, and the list goes on. He's pro abortion, just just pro choice, he's so disgusting in that subject that I get sick to my stomach when I think he can call himself a believer of Christ. Please.. he must not understand what abortion really is..anyway...I'm just disgusted with half the american people. Don't bother commenting if you disagree..that's your choice, as my opinion is my choice. It doesn't make you a bad person, nor does it make me for being upset.

Happy Birthday Elizabeth!

Well, Elizabeth is now 2 years old..time sure flies... I like to make the day really special for the girls when it's their birthday, so when they fell asleep the night before, I decorated Elizabeth's bed and bedroom door, and then I put streamers down the stairway and in the dining room. I hung up my homemade happy birthday sign and put her presents on the table for her to open first thing in the morning. She was so cute. Then we had a party for her that evening and invited some family and friends over for pizza, wings, and cake. We had a nice time :) Here's some videos and pics..to view the full album go to http://ambroses.shutterfly.com/

Joe the Plumber Calls Obama a Socialist for his

I'm sorry, but if I one day own a business and end up making over 250k I don't think it's right for the government to come in and take away that hard earned money that I most likely sweated and sacrificed for, just to give it to the 'have nots'. This country is the land of 'opportunity', but not everyone takes advantage of that. No one said it was gonna be handed to you on a silver platter. It's incredible to me that people don't have a problem with Obama's sharing the wealth plan. If I made more money, you're darn right I want to keep that money, and give it to who I choose, whether it be my church, or a crisis pregnancy center, or an orphanage, or wherever, but absolutely not, should the gov't come take that money and choose what to do with it and give it to organizations like Planned Parenthood that I oppose. Even gov't officials say that faith based organizations have done more to help in Crises like Katrina, so why would I give it to the gov't? I know where my money would better serve. Spreading the wealth is purely a socialist tactic. Socialism is not freedom! It's the government running everything and making everyone 'equal'. Sorry, no one wins that way. Why do you think so many people come to this country and open their own business sometimes even before really learning english fully, b/c they can. B/c in their country they don't have the same opportunities. I guarantee if you ask any citizen who came from a socialist country what they think of Obama's plan, and they'll say it reminds them of home. This is all so ridiculous and I can't understand why people are falling for him. Just make sure you don't let the liberal media myth of Obama the Chosen one mold your opinion of him. Be sure to do the research, b/c beyond the rhetoric and the media love for him, the truth would hurt him, but most are blind to it b/c he 'gives a nice speech' that 'sends a thrill up your leg." Ridiculous! Do your homework. All I have to say for tonight. G'Nite!

Choosing a candidate??

I recently received an email from a friend concerning the election and it got me thinking. Ya know, as a Christian, we are supposed to live according to God's Word and do our best to interpret His Word and put it into practice. Don't get me wrong, I am an imperfect Christian...Now when it comes to voting, yes there are many issues to consider, from the economy to the war, to abortion, free trade, marriage and the environment. The list is soo long. But when we examine each issue, we have to consider the later ramifications down the road. I'm sure everyone who even reads this by now knows who I support. But when I get to that conclusion, while yes there are some issues that have a major impact on ME in the HEre and NOW, there are issues such as abortion that impact millions of babies who can't speak for themselves. Maybe it's a personal choice, but as a Christian, and maybe you disagree, but as a Christian voting, aren't we supposed to vote according to our beliefs? Part of that email that I received brought a couple verses to my attention that I knew but forgot sorta. Here's part of that email:

"God knows it is a trying time right now. He knows the enemy has sowed confusion amongst the Body of Christ, especially concerning this upcoming election. God has already ordained the next president of the United States, to bring forth His will in this nation, at this time. And ultimately, with this new president God’s plan for the end times in the world will be put into motion. As a matter of fact, it has started already. There is nothing we can do to stop what was set up from before the beginning of the world. All we can do as Christians is vote according to His Word. For our vote is our support of the beliefs and stance of the candidates. If a candidate believes in cannibalism and we vote for them…guess what? That means we believe in and support, and take part in cannibalism. My example is extreme, but true. So how does a Christian vote? According to the Word of God. His Word is our daily guide out of darkness and into His marvelous light. If we are not voting according to His Word, we are voting against His Word. Mat 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. .......................
Amo 5:15 Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.
What does God hate?
Pro 6:16
¶These six [things] doth the LORD hate: yea, seven [are] an abomination unto him: Pro 6:17A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, Pro 6:18An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, Pro 6:19A false witness [that] speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren. Abortion is shedding innocent blood. If you call it freedom of choice, this is a lying tongue. Call it what it is. "

Millions of innocent babies are dying every day and if that isn't more important than the economy? It's murder or could even be considered infanticide and one candidate is so extreme as to support partial birth abortion and numerous other pro abortion legislation. There have been more babies lost in abortion than all the deaths in the wars in our history. ANd as a mother this subject hits me at home...While I am on the fence of opposing abortion in the case of rape and incest and where the life of the mother is at risk (namely only ectopic pregnancy), there should be something done. And as a Christian we have an obligation to vote how God would expect us to. Not to sound cliche' but What Would Jesus DO? Now I know that there's a plan so if Obama is elected then I'll have to concede that it'll all work to that plan, but as a Christian I cannot support a man so radical in SO many areas, in our values as humans, or even economically. If you disagree with me, that's what is great about our country, we have the freedom of speech. I may not understand your logic in any way whatsoever, but I still love you and don't mean to offend anyone. I just am baffled by pro Obama Christians.. Love always..Jess

Pumpkin Patch..

We had a busy weekend, I forgot my camera saturday so no pics...we went to two birthday parties, one in New Jersey then another in Phoenixeville. Then Sunday we went with Pete and Angela to Terhune Orchards pumpkin patch. It wasn't as nice as last year's at Shady Brook Farm, but it didn't cost an arm and a leg either :) We still had a good time and they had the most delicious apple doughnuts. The girls were so cute b/c they gave away little apples to the kids and that occupied them for at least 15 minutes. Then we went afterwards to Pete and Angela's house for dinner. We had lot of fun :)

Glenn Beck presents the Obama National Anthem

Candidates and their take on some issues...

This is from the Family Research Council and has evidence to support each candidate's position. CHeck it out if you want. I feel that a person's character and moral compass tells us a lot of how they are going to vote and while we have religious liberty in the country, we still have a moral obligation to protect families and children as humans. While I am Pro Life I go back and forth on whether or not abortion is okay in the event of rape and incest. Because our constitution provides for every citizen the right to LIFE liberty and the pursuit of Happiness..the first one being LIFE. And the unborn doesn't have a voice yet, so who is going to speak for them and give THEM life? While abortion is currently legal, I am opposed that the government mandate that my hard earned tax dollars be spent on something I so much oppose. Fine, if it's legal, fine, but don't use MY money to fund it. It should NOT be federally funded. Anyway..off my soapbox.

Today’s values issues involve many more questions and sub-questions than in years past, especially as a result of new topics and themes in bioethics, marriage and family law, which are themselves linked concerns. The following questions have been compiled by FRC policy experts to drill down on existing issues that are of interest to values voters. The answers have been researched and supplied by FRC Action’s researchers by analyzing campaign statements and votes.

RESEARCH ISSUES
What form of stem cell research would you permit access to federal funds?1
OBAMA Therapeutic cloning (SCNT)
MCCAIN Adult stem cell research
MCCAIN & OBAMA Leftover embryos derived from in vitro fertilization
MCCAIN & OBAMA Embryo destructive research
Human/animal hybrids
MCCAIN & OBAMA Umbilical cord blood banks

OBAMA NO Would you support a federal law prohibiting states from engaging in research in which (or which relies on research in which) a human embryo is destroyed?

MCCAIN YES
OBAMA NO Would you support a federal law prohibiting both reproductive cloning and cloning for research?

MCCAIN NO
OBAMA NO Would you support, and continue, President Bush’s ban on the use of federal funds for research on human embryonic stem cell lines created after August 2001?3

MCCAIN APPLY AS WRITTEN
OBAMA PERSONAL BELIEFS Would you appoint as judges men and women who interpret a law in accordance with their personal beliefs, or apply it as written whether they would have written it that way themselves or not?4

MCCAIN NO
OBAMA YES Do you support Medicaid-funded abortions?5

MCCAIN YES Would you support laws requiring abortion clinics to show all women an ultrasound image of their unborn baby?6

MCCAIN SUPPORT
OBAMA OPPOSE Would you support or oppose a federal parental notification law?7

MCCAIN YES
OBAMA NO Would you fight to protect the integrity of federally defined abstinence-until-marriage education ("A-H criteria," without being watered down just to the delay of sexual initiation)?8

MCCAIN NO
OBAMA NO Do you support a U.S. constitutional amendment to define and protect marriage as the union of one man and one woman?9

If you support a U.S. constitutional amendment to define and protect marriage, what provisions do you believe should be included in such an amendment?
a) create a fixed definition of marriage as the union of one man and one woman nationwide
b) prohibit judges from requiring that marriage or its legal benefits be conferred upon any union other than the union of one man and one woman
c) prohibit judges or legislatures from conferring marriage or its legal benefits on any union other than the marriage of one man to one woman
d) prohibit judges from requiring that states recognize same-sex "marriages" from other states

If you do not support a U.S. constitutional amendment to define and protect marriage now, would any of these hypothetical future circumstances allow you to support such an amendment?10
a) if additional state supreme courts require that the legal rights and benefits of marriage be granted to same-sex couples (as has happened in Vermont and New Jersey)
b) if additional state supreme courts require that civil marriage be granted to same-sex couples (as has happened in Massachusetts)
MCCAIN c) if one or several state supreme courts require their state to recognize same-sex "marriages" from another state
d) if one or several states legalize same-sex "marriage" through the legislative process
MCCAIN e) if the U.S. Supreme Court requires states to recognize same-sex "marriages" from another state (thus overturning a provision of the federal Defense of Marriage Act)
MCCAIN f) if the U.S. Supreme Court requires the federal government to recognize same-sex "marriages" and/or partnerships for any purpose under federal law (thus overturning a provision of the federal Defense of Marriage Act)
MCCAIN g) if the U.S. Supreme Court rules that same-sex "marriage" is a right under the U.S. Constitution

The Federal Defense of Marriage Act (1996) declares marriage to be the union of one man and one woman for all purposes of the federal government and declares that states do not have to recognize same-sex "marriages" from other states. Which of the following describes your position on the federal DOMA?
MCCAIN a) I would veto any bill that would weaken any provision of the federal DOMA.11
b) I would support an amendment to the U.S. Constitution to codify the provision of DOMA that says that states do not have to recognize same-sex "marriages" from other states.
OBAMA c) I would support repeal of the provision of DOMA that defines marriage as the union of one man and one woman for all federal purposes, thus freeing the federal government to give marital benefits to same-sex couples.
OBAMA d) I would support repeal of the provision of DOMA that declares states do not have to recognize same-sex "marriages" from other states, thus leaving courts free to require such recognition under the Constitution’s "full faith and credit" clause.

Religious Liberty

MCCAIN YES
OBAMA NO Will you support the continuation of the Faith Based Initiative (on the federal level) to guarantee the right of religious social service providers to access federal programs on an equal basis?

Which of the following comes closest to your position on the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), which would grant federal civil rights protection on the basis of sexual orientation?
MCCAIN a) I would veto any bill to provide federal civil rights protection on the basis of sexual orientation.13
b) I would sign a bill to give federal civil rights protection based on sexual orientation, but not one that included protection for "gender identity."
c) I would sign a bill to give civil rights protection based on sexual orientation, but only if it had the broadest possible religious exemption.
OBAMA d) I would sign a bill to give federal civil rights protection based on sexual orientation and "gender identity."

Which of the following comes closest to your position on the proposed federal "hate crimes" law, which would allow the federal government to prosecute any "hate crime" anywhere in the country?
MCCAIN a) I would veto any federal "hate crimes" law, and leave prosecution of such crimes to state and local authorities.14
b) I would sign a federal hate crimes law covering the characteristics included in the 1964 Civil Rights Act (such as race), but not one with protections based on sexual orientation or "gender identity."
c) I would sign a federal hate crimes law that included sexual orientation and "gender identity," but only if it included strong and explicit protections for freedom of speech and freedom of religion.
OBAMA d) I would sign a federal hate crimes law that included protections based on sexual orientation and "gender identity."

Which of the following policies would you follow regarding the issue of homosexuals who wish to serve in the military?
MCCAIN a) I would veto any bill to overturn the statutory ban on homosexuals serving in the military.15
OBAMA b) I would sign a bill to overturn the statutory ban on homosexuals serving in the military.
c) I would end the Clinton-era "Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell" policy and resume the practice of asking military recruits about their sexual orientation, with the purpose of excluding homosexuals from the military.
d) I would continue the Clinton-era policy of "not asking" military recruits about their sexual orientation and advising them not to acknowledge such an orientation.
e) I would continue to prosecute both homosexual and heterosexual members of the military for the crime of sodomy under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
f) I would support removal of the crime of sodomy from the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

Barack Obama, The Democrats and the Housing Crisis

Seriously, you can't vote for this man.
